4. Content of the mandate
The Finnish Interpreter Service orders interpretation and/or translation services from Tulki. Interpreting is provided at the premises of the Finnish Interpreting Service's client, at an otherwise agreed location or, in the case of telephone and remote interpreting, at the Interpreter's own premises.
The interpreter shall carry out the assignment using his/her own equipment and shall be responsible for the performance of the service The Finnish interpreter shall carry out the assignment independently and shall be responsible for the manner, timing and methods used to carry out the work.
The interpreter shall take into account the client's instructions and the general guidelines in the field concerning the quality of the end result, confidentiality and ethical principles of interpreting.
The Finnish Interpreting Service is not bound by this contract to commission interpreting services, nor does the Interpreter undertake to provide them. Each order is always made and accepted separately.
The interpreter works on a case-by-case basis and is not obliged to be available to Suomen Tulkkauspalvelu Oy at all times. The service provider has the right to accept and carry out assignments from other clients as well. This contract does not constitute an exclusive right or limit the Service Provider's right to act for other clients.

The Finnish Interpreting Service does not require the interpreter to work in a specific place, at a specific time or with specific equipment.
